  • [es-pree de less-ka/-iay] (idiom) A witty remark that occurs to you too late, literally on the way down the stairs. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations defines esprit de l'escalier as, "An untranslatable phrase, the meaning of which is that one only thinks on one's way downstairs of the smart retort one might have made in the drawing room."

Sounds like a good time to me!

I've never wanted to move to Paris, but I would like to meet a beautiful expat and push croissants. Maybe I can do that in Madrid. :)

Mmmmm... Paris. :)

I'm so pleased that I was able to infect you with the Buffycomic. *evil laugh*

Good post, C. I'm well past my graduate school days and I like DCfC.

If I could find pointless yet employable employment in Scotland, I would be in a kilt right now.

How I love when my friends friend!
